Fran is a wonderful person and mechanic. Glad to have been referred to his auto repair shop. Honest, fast service and very knowledgeable. Unlike the majority of mechanics in Boston, his auto shop did not try to pressure me into unnecessary repairs. 10/10, happy to have found a great mechanic.

We ran over a nail on our way to dinner before the Bruins game and this was the closest place to us, we called and they let us know to come by. They immediately got the tire taken care of in less than 15 minutes and saved the day for us truly. Can’t thank them enough!

I can’t say enough good things about Fran’s Auto Shop! I unexpectedly ran over a nail and my tire pressure was dropping fast. 2 other places turned me away, but even though Fran was super busy, he fit me in right away—in the pouring rain—and plugged my tire on the spot. It’s rare to find that kind of honest, helpful service these days. I’ve been looking for a reliable local auto shop, and after this experience, I’ll definitely be coming back!

My best friend and I both have had amazing experiences at Fran’s. I first went in to get a huge bolt out of my tire and he fixed it right away for $20 and checked out all of my tires and put air in them. My best friend popped his tire and I told him to go to Fran’s and he had an amazing experience getting a new tire put on through Fran. No crazy up charge and no BS. Fran is an honest mechanic and a great guy!

Fran Auto Repair is simply the best in the business! From the moment I called, Fran and the team were professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. Our car’s AC mysteriously didn’t work after replacing the horn, but the team at Fran's quickly pinpointed the issue and had it fixed faster than I could have imagined. The service was top-notch, and the pricing was more than fair for the quality of work. They were transparent about every step of the process and kept me informed with clear communication. It's so refreshing to find an auto repair shop you can truly trust. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I'll be bringing all my future auto needs to Fran Auto Repair. I had my car towed by D&D Towing and brought it straight to Fran’s shop, not really knowing what was wrong with it. I originally thought I just needed an alignment, but once Fran took a look, it turned out there was a lot more going on — and none of it was my fault. I walked in literally a couple minutes before closing, and he still made the time to check my car right away. He inspected everything, explained exactly what the issues were, and guided me through the entire process step by step. He was patient, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the second I arrived. D&D had damaged my car, and Fran fixed everything by the very next day. He kept me updated, was completely transparent, and made a stressful situation so much easier. I can’t recommend him enough — honest, fast, and truly goes above and beyond.

Fran is a literal angel! After digging out my car from four feet of snow, I quickly realized the battery was dead. I called Fran at 7 AM to see if he offered tow services and he went out of his way to personally come to where my car was located and jump started me. I told him that I had to leave Boston that same day and he made sure that my car had a new battery put in by the end of the day at the best possible price. If you have ANY car needs I can not recommend Fran and his team enough!!

Great local auto shop with honest service! I had a great experience at Fran’s Auto Repair. The staff were friendly, honest, and professional. They quickly helped me replace and balance a new tire, and the job was done perfectly. The price was fair and transparent, and the whole process was fast and easy. Highly recommend this shop if you’re in South Boston!

I blew a tire on 93N and exited. After an hour AAA never came. I checked Google Maps for a tire shop and Mr. Fran was 1 block away. I walked over there and told Mr. Fran my situation. He was very helpful and nice. I dragged my 2002 Grand Cherokee on its rim to the shop. He assured me he had the tire and after some digging in the crates...he finally found one nearly brand new. Mr. Fran did a great job, gave me some tire education, quoted me a great price, and he's an honest man. A kool dude and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
